Seymur H. Fataliyev (born 19 July 1973) — Ambassador-at-Large of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO, a PhD in philology.
Early Life and Career
[edit]Dr. Seymur Fataliyev was born on 19 July 1973. During 1990-1995 he studied French at the Azerbaijan University of Languages and from 1997 to 2001 he studied law at the Baku State University.[1]
He began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1995.In 1999-2005 he worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in France and afterwards, at the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNESCO in 2006-2009.
During 2009 and 2012 he was appointed as the Deputy Head of the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He served as the Deputy Head of the Department on Humanitarian Policy Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2012-2017.
During 2018 and 2021, he served as Head of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA).
In August 2021, he was appointed as Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 25, 2014, No. 580, S.Fataliyev was awarded with the medal "For Distinction in Civil Service".
By another decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 17, 2015, S.Fataliyev was awarded with degree of public service 2nd degree state adviser.
He holds PhD in Philology
