Samantha Tintoc-Camarinta's story begins not the same way as other. She was born on an airplane ride coming from Japan going to the United States on a Korean Airlines flight. Her life seemed to be a search of identity for herself. Her father was Spanish-Filipino and her mother was Chinese[1]. Whenever she was asked, “so what’s your nationality?” She would change it up depending on who she was talking to. After all, her passport and place of birth never matched, and neither could the color of her skin reveal ONE identity. Samantha hoped for the best to be accepted wherever she went. She had a brother who was extremely tall. He was fifteen years older who desired greatly to be an astronaut. He too had a passion to find himself up among the stars. Samantha herself was short. Once she had gone walking in the forest and hit her head on the branch. She became greatly confused, as she knew she was short and thought trees were tall. In fact she believed everyone was taller than her. Wasn’t she different to begin with?
