Dr. Shah Md. Safiul Hoque is from Bangladesh. He born in Brahmanbaria district in 1970. He is from an educated and well know family in Brahmanbaria. His father late A M Fazlul Hoque was a first class government officer, who has founded many institutions as part of his responsibility to the society that included schools, madrasas, and mosques. However, Dr. Hoque spent his childhood in Brahmanbaria and completed his school and college level education there. He gained higher education on Information Systems both in bachelor equivalent and master degrees from the United Kingdom. One of his earned diploma was from the University of Oxford (delegacy of local examination). After completion of his master degree from the University of East London, he straight away returned home to serve his motherland and was started teaching as his career in 2000. Since September 2000 he has been teaching mainly Management Information Systems (MIS) related courses at universities in home (Peoples University, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, Southeast University, Green University, Jagannath University and Jahangirnagar University) and in abroad (University of Buraimi,Oman). Dr. Hoque earned his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from the Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka. His Ph.D. research was focused on public sectors' e-service delivery through UDCs, which was considered as the first Ph.D. research on this issue in the context of Bangladesh. Dr. Hoque is recognized as one of the pioneers Professor of MIS in the country. He as a book and many academic research articles published in peer reviewed journals as well as attended many conferences as an expart of MIS.
