Sadegh Lajevardi, who graduated in civil engineering from the university of Amirkabir in 2014, made his master's thesis on the reliability-centred maintenance of railway track components with the help of structural health monitoring.

His research domains include reliability-centred maintenance of structures through none destructive tests, with the help of damage detection methods in structural health monitoring. Image processing and neural network are applied in his papers and national patent.

He also experienced railway structure inspection and quality management.
