Sub-par photographer, author, and geology enthusiast. I don't make very many Wiki edits and the ones I do tend to be relatively small. I am active like once a day.
Below are some pics I'm particularly proud of [or just like]. I don't know what else to put here.
A snap I caught of a Laughing Kookaburra in a farm-park in North Yorkshire .
This is the registration number on a Cessna 172N Skyhawk/100 , G-BOIL. It spends much of its time at Barton Aerodrome . This is a plane I've personally flown.
The Air Traffic Control tower at Barton Aerodrome (EGCB ), Manchester, England .
The instrument panel from the above-photographed Cessna 172N Skyhawk/100 G-BOIL. Visible is the KNS-80 Integrated NAV System (Far-Right); the VOR /LOC Converter Indicator (Top-Right Gauge); Automatic Direction Finder (Bottom-Right Gauge); Altimeter (Bottom-Left Gauge); and Vertical Speed Indicator (Top-Left-Gauge).
A family member of mine stood on the North-Yorkshire coast , just outside of Scarborough . A shot I've always quite liked.
Holly Johnson's Keyboardist playing at a gig I attended as Press in 2024. Another picture I'm quite proud of.
Waxing Gibbous , taken through my SkyWatcher 720mm APO Refractor w/ my old bold Nikon D7000 .
Whitby Abbey on a brisk day in late-2023. Very brooding.
One I caught of a Seagull in Scarborough, North Yorkshire , UK .
Also caught at Irlam Live 2024. Debbie Harris, of Blondie tribute band , Bootleg Blondie, pointing at my camera . The band gave an excellent performance and I can't wait to see them there again in 2025. Amazing.
Scarborough Castle , a ruin on the North-Yorkshire Coast. Definitely worth a visit.
An older pic I took of Stonehenge before I was an amateur photographer. A fantastic place to visit. A true wonder of the ancient world .
A picture I've always been fond of. Probably either an A320 or a 737 . I think contrails are really quite beautiful.
Another snap of Stonehenge from the same visit. Both are taken from the innermost circle. Afterwards, I had a lovely time in Salisbury .
An untracked 'star-field ' shot, playing with my camera out in the garden.
A stacked shot of Saturn I took through my Skywatcher 6" Dobsonian reflector and a SVBONY Planetary Imaging Camera , untracked. Some interesting trivia is that 'Saturn: The Bringer of Old Age ', part of Holst's 'The Planets ' suite , greatly inspired Jerry Goldsmith's main title theme for 1979's Alien .
A stacked, untracked shot of Jupiter and two of the Galilean Moons . There were originally three of the moons in the shot, but the third was too faint and was cut whilst cropping.
Holly Johnson's guitarist at Irlam Live 2024. An awesome performance!
