Hello. I've noted through browsing here that, whilst there are many really good articles, and even more comprehensive articles, a lot of them are inaccessible to me as a reader. I'm sure that's true of many people. I think it's a real shame.

I can understand why some of the more esoteric subjects covered are written for those who are already knowledgeable in those areas. But I can't understand why many of the non-esoteric subjects aren't written to inform everyone, rather than those already expert in those fields.

I have made a few changes to help make some pages more accessible.

Style guides of public broadcasters, like the BBC, are good too. They know that if they don't appeal to a wide audience, viewers switch off.

The BBC's guide starts with "Good writing is not a luxury; it is an obligation". I agree.
