Hi - I'm hoping to use Wikipedia to create / edit content linked to Bristol's history with the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
I have lived in Bristol since 1985, and have a background of working in the arts and museums sectors. I've been researching my family history for many years, which has led to my broader interest in Bristol's connection to the slave trade and slave economy.
I'm passionate about making information as accessible to as many people as possible.
2020 has put Bristol's connections with slavery on the map because of the toppling of the Edward Colston statue... so it feels like the right time to ensure there is up to date and accurate information on Wikipedia.It's September 2020 and I'm new to this. Looking forward to the ride!
