WARNING: I am not this Rodney White but am this Rodney White. I have been asked to clarify this matter.

As an editor, I favor citations over no citations. I believe in supplying the reader with an opportunity to further examine a subject on Wikipedia. If one can find a better source, change the link.

However, some editors (there used to be a link here, but I was asked to remove it) have taken to a new policy. If a source contains superior information, information that cannot be found for free elsewhere, that source may still be taken down, not in favor of a better citation, but for no citation.

Is that better for those seeking information? I think not.
