Bio: This is a page I created for my English Composition class. I am 17 years old and i am a senior in High School, and currently taking a few classes in a Community College. I like to workout, cook different meals, listen to music and just any sports in general. I can speak 4 languages, which are English, Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian. My interests towards Wikipedia is to learn more about a specific topic, or create my own or make edits to already existing articles on Wikipedia. So far my plan is to stay here for a while during the class i am taking, but who knows maybe i will end up staying here. Thank you for visiting my page.

Article Evaluation:

[edit]

The article i am going to be evaluating is regarding the concept of toxic masculinity, the reason I a chose this article is because i plan on writing an essay and was interested in learning more and understand this concept more. I visited the "Toxic Masculinity" article on Wikipedia, and found these aspects of it worth commenting on: Academic Usage, Gender Norms and Criticism.

In paragraph that's talking about Academic usage of the toxic masculinity most of the articles that they are using are mostly from 2016, which i believe could be updated, due to the reason that men and women might have a different view today on toxic masculinity than people in 2016.

Second paragraph that's regarding the Gender Norms, i was questioning if the author that they quote in this paragraph is credible enough, or have any bias towards this topic.

And the last paragraph that talks about Criticism i just think its not well written enough and doesn't really explain the criticism on the term of toxic masculinity

To summarize i believe that they should update their authors and articles, since some of them might be too old, or updated with the current state today. Have more credible authors that are either licensed psychologists that have a scientific view on toxic masculinity.
