RocketTestPilot is a graduate student and interaction designer in the United States.
I'm earning my MA in design studies at Parsons The New School for Design, and I'm currently focused on writing my thesis on conditions of design for outer space and future technologies. I'll finish in the spring of 2015 after the end of an internship with NASA in the Human Systems Integration Division at the Ames Research Center.
For the summers from 2009 through 2012, I was the archery instructor at Montecito Sequoia Lodge, a family camp in Kings Canyon National Park where my camp name was "Apache." My qualifications included a Level 1 Instructor Certification from USA Archery, two years of practice at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista on a JOAD team, and 5 years as a KILT (counselor in leadership training) at the camp where I eventually worked.
I love going to blues and jazz clubs, with my favorite being Kingston Mines in Chicago. I also play guitar, swim, travel when possible, and play video games. While I was an undergraduate student, I helped start the CMU Humanist League and the CMU Archery Club.
