I keep track of what I'm doing on with/for the Wikipedia Ambassador program here, and also keep all the necessary links. (Idea stolen from Manishearth.)

Statement from Rock drum

[edit]

I did this part of the training on 03/21/2011. I was asked a number of questions by Sage Ross and Fetchcomms in the IRC channel #wikipedia-en-classroom connect. These focused on common student/new user problems such as "Why was my page deleted/How can I stop my page from being deleted?", the answer to which was generally a lack of sources. Notes to self: I find that the best page for telling students about the sourcing policy is WP:42.

On-wiki mock mentorship-walkthrough

[edit]

Statement from Rock drum

[edit]

This part of my training spanned from 03/28/2011 until 05/13/2011. It covered various parts of on-wiki mentorship including advice on creating an article, improving a current article and giving feedback on another. To do this Sage used the account PolicyRocker15 (talk · contribs). You can see the full discussion at the link above. Notes to self: Never forget to leave a talkback notice. Ever.
