Jenni Middleton(born,1971) is the editor of Nursing Times, a monthly magazine for nurses based in the UK and has worked in the media for nearly 20 years in engineering, beauty, fashion, retail and science before joining the Nursing Times.[1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Jenni grew up in Cambridgeshire and was educated in Hills Road Sixth Form College and University of Warwick, where she read English and American Literature. She was awarded an honorary doctorate in Health Science in 2016 from Anglia Ruskin University.
Career
[edit]After graduating, Jenni took up her first journalism role at Geo-Information International. In 1997, she became the editor of Polymers Paint Colour Journal in DMG Media.From 2003-2010, she worked as an editor of Retail Jeweller and Professional Beauty magazines at EMAP. Then in 2010, Jenni joined Nursing Times, and leads the magazine, and the website. Jenni launched the studentnursingtimes.net, an online subscription package for student nurses and the Student Nursing Times Award.[2]
Awards
[edit]While Jenni has been editor of the title, Nursing Times has won a British Media Award, a PPA New Talent Award and a British Society of Magazine Editor's Award. Personally, Jenni has also been named Editor of the Year at the Professional Publishers' Association Awards in 2016. [3]
