Danny Jones
[edit]Danny Jones (born Exeter, September 3, 1985) is an English professional footballer, currently playing for Bournemouth FC. He is predominantly a right full back, although he is also able to play as a left full back or central defender. He has been capped by England at schoolboy level.
Career
[edit]Plymouth Argyle
Jones began his career as a trainee with Plymouth Argyle, joining the club at the age of 11. During the club's very successful 2001/02 season, Jones emerged as one of the best youth players through this period, signing a one year professional contract on 5th May 2001.
Jones made his professional debut on 9th November 2001 against Swansea City in a 3 - 1 win. He went on to make 5 more league/cup appearances and was involved in the squad on the last day of the season when Argyle deafeated Cheltenham Town 2 - 0 to finish the season with a club and league record of 102 points and clinch the Division Three title.
Prior to the start of the 2002/03 season, Jones left the club and went on to have spells with home-town club Exeter City FC and Yeovil Town FC.
Bournemouth FC
On August 12th 2008 Jones joined Bournemouth FC and went on to make 45 appearances on his debut season.
