Prior to the mid-1970s, software practitioners called themselves computer programmers or software developers, regardless of their actual jobs. Many people prefer to call themselves software developer and programmer, because most widely agree what these terms mean, while the exact meaning of software engineer is still being debated.

Education EditIndian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST Shibpur) is a premier public engineering institution located at Shibpur, Howrah district, West Bengal. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India along with IITs and NITs.[2] The institute offers bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in engineering and architecture as well as master's and doctorate degrees in science and management.
