I am Riya, one half of the trans-disciplinary artist duo, 'Bariya' (bariyastudio.com), based in New Delhi, India. I am here on wiki, to edit, contribute, learn, and share in a CC way of being.
I am a writer and an artist. As a writer I write on gender, arts, art-history, culture, Asian schools of philosophy, technology, poetry, sound art, care, electronic music, Indian classical music, meditations, and other ways of extended multi-dimensional, cosmic feminism.
As an artist, my work (as Bariya) flowers at the intersections of sound and poetry, in a sincere ecological & posthuman awareness and meditation, synthesizing and reconciling through ever-evolving noise, linguistic, dialectical and digital tactility, affinity and politics of images, philosophy, Hindi culture and languaging...requesting to examine and host alternative forms of cognition & listening, un-identity, spirituality and active resolve with commitments to decolonial service, non-cooperation and queer care.
In the everydayness of things, I am often found in between threads of radical restfulness, feral cat(s)-parenting, learning to write poems, storytelling, polyphonic singing, learning around quantum yearnings of bodies and gestures, disorientation and play- journaling ‘अकर्मण्य ब्लूज़ (Inactivity Blues)', 'निर्भीक श्रवण (Fearless Listening)'
