Hello and thanks for reading my page.
I live in the Midlands (England). I was originally trained in the Sciences before moving on to study and work in IT. Outside these areas my interests and hobbies lie almost entirely in musical subjects. I am a sometime amateur cellist and in the mid 90's took a three-year part-time course in harmony, counterpoint and musical composition at Birkbeck, University of London. For the past two years or so I have been working locally in the IT department at Keele University.
Recently, I started to collect old recordings (78 rpm) and have found that there are many artists who must have been household names in their day but of whom we know very little about their lives now.
