The Plainfield Soccer Association is a premier non-profit soccer organization, located in the southwest Chicago, Il suburban area. PSA's mission is to provide exceptional soccer instruction, in a fun, positive and supportive environment - fostering sportsmanship and friendship. Players can choose from PSA's recreation or Legends travel programs. The recreation program is geared toward new and returning players, who are interested in learning and developing their soccer skills in a fun and supportive environment. Recreational soccer seasons occur in the Spring, Fall and Winter. Teams are generally coached by parents, with practices occurring 1-2 times a week. Games are played on weekends, on outdoor fields (except for Winter, which is an indoor season without practice). The Legends travel program appeals to players who have the desire, skill and commitment to play year-round soccer. Coached by professional trainers, players compete in competitive environments and travel around the Chicago area. Matches occur between similarly skilled teams, with games occurring occasionally on weekday evenings as well as on weekends.

Plainfield Legends, formed in 2006, affords qualified athletes an opportunity to participate in a competitive, traveling environment. The girls teams compete within the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL). The boys teams participate in the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL). Youth teams start with boys and girls from 6–18 years of age. In addition, a little Legends program is available for 4-5 year old boys and girls. Legends open tryouts are held in late May - early June each year. Fall and Spring practices occur two to three times a week, on fields in Plainfield, IL.

The core objective is to develop each player, to reach their full potential. The program operates within a supportive and rewarding atmosphere, led by USSF or NSCAA licensed coaching staff members. A key tenet is to instill a love for the game, by developing skilled, confident players who share the association's code of ethical conduct and commitment to excellence. Legends training provides an excellent foundation and prepares players for high school and potentially, college play.
