register of historic places

[edit]

per repeated 100% consistent decision at WP:AFD, every individual building in the Register is considered notable in Wikipedia. May not seem to make sense, perhaps, but if saves a lot of arguments. 3RR warning to Tiptoety

[edit]

Diff. It's not 3RR if you're reverting obvious blanking vandalism, as Ty was doing. The anon editor was reported at AIV and blocked. Thanks. Katr67 18:06, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

My reverts were reverting vandalism, and did not violate the 3RR rule as Katr67 stated above. Also it is not a good idea to Template the Regulars, and next time a simple personalized message may be a better idea, thank you for trying to stop vandalism, your contributions are greatly appreciated! [edit]

I am a longtime reader of Wikipedia who has recently begun adding. I added to the original Crusades article, which was overly simplistic and did not at all present an accurate picture of the Crusades. Such vital information as the combined Crusader-Portugese retaking Lisbon in 1147 (part of the Second Crusade), the success of the Third Crusade in retaking crucial port-cities, the economic driving force of the Crusades in such nation-states as the Mediterranean maritime powers of Venice, Genoa, and Pisa, as well as, to some extent, Angevin France, all must be included in any serious discussion/presentation of the Crusades. Also the article places far to much importance on the influence of Islam in the Renaissance while ignoring the far more important influence of Frederick II Hohenstaufen and Greek immigrants to Italy. If I could cut and paste the entire book Nomads and Crusaders:1000-1368 by Archibald Lewis I would, but as is all I can do is contribute. I recognize that I may not be fully aware of Wikipedia protocol at this point, and that my information my clash stylistically with the original article, but such issues could be easily fixed by spacing or parentheses, not undoing. If you have any intention of a serious article on the Crusades please restore my contributions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gunslinger1812 (talkcontribs) 09:52, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Please discuss your concerns on the relevant Talk page, it would be useful for you to read the response to your question, before further editing the page. Y4kk 10:07, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Why did you send me a warning for deleting warnings from my talk page? According to the article Wikipedia:User page I'm allowed to do that. Take care. Addie777 23:10, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Asus Eee PC image

[edit]

I've always thought it would be cool to have a picture of Eee PC sitting on somebody's palm or maybe a hand holding the computer? I want people to get a better idea how tiny the thing really is. Thanks. 24.81.130.107 12:32, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Editing & Preview

[edit]

I've checked the history of edits of Asus Eee PC article and I saw many small edits done by you in a short period of time. You obviously are not familiar with the "Show preview" button on the Edit page and with the reason why it's there. Can you have a look at it? Thanks. 24.81.130.107 15:48, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I have been making plenty of edits to the Asus Eee PC page because I have been making large changes to the structure of the article, this string of edits lasted for 5 hours[1], it would be unreasonable for me to not have saved in that time - what would have happened if my computer crashed?
I do, where possible avoid making unnecessary edits, for example, I designed the table largely in my userspace - Гedʃtǁcɭ 19:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
