Aeronaves de Mexico Flight 401 was a flight of a DC-8 that crashed at takeoff from New York International Airport (Idlewild, later JFK) killing 4 of the 106 occupants aboard and destroying the plane. The cause was determined to be an inappropriate attempt to abort the takeoff by a check-pilot in the cockpit.
