"Illusion" (Korean: 도깨비불; RR: Dokkaebibul; lit. Will-o'-the-wisp) is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Aespa for their second extended play, Girls.
Background and composition
[edit]"Illusion" was composed by G'harah "PK" Degeddingseze and Steve Octave, while the lyrics were written by Lee Thor.[1] Musically, the song was described as a hip-hop dance song with an intense 808 bass and a kick sound.[2] It also features a combination of "minimal and trendy" track sound and "restrained" rap that "stands out".[3] Lyrically, the song is expressed in Aespa's color by the feeling of bewitching and swallowing the opponent by comparing it to a will-o'-the-wisp.[4]
