[edit]Economic model
[edit]Up until four years ago, Lifeline was primarily a membership-based rescue service. However, to better answer the needs of non-members, the safety zone concept was developed, and certain areas are assigned to be covered by Lifeline.
As of 2009, an individual yearly Lifeline subscription cost P150 for SM Advantage card holders and P1,000 for non-SM Advantage card holders.[8]
Scope
[edit]Lifeline covers some of Manila’s top corporations and exclusively manages all emergency cases of premier villages such as Ayala Alabang and Bel-Air. In 2003, The US embassy awarded SOS International and Lifeline the contract for the ambulance/medical support for President George W. Bush’s visit to the Philippines. During the past three years, Lifeline has exclusively handled medical emergencies for the Philippine National Construction Corp. (PNCC) and the Metro Rail Transit (MRT).
Between 1995 and 2007 the company saved more than 11,000 lives. According to Lifeline, a large proportion of calls are heart-related and vehicular accidents. [9]

Protected zones
[edit]"A protection zone is one of our new innovations. Primarily designed to cover the majority or all occupants of a given area at the lowest possible cost, it has developed into a must-have for villages, condominiums and roadways. The costs are absorbed directly by the owner or operators of the property. Lifeline covers approximately 715,000 people a day FREE under this protection umbrella."[10]
Skyway System operator, Skyway O&M Corporation (SOMCO) joined in a partnership with Lifeline to support and assist in emergency situations in Skyway System’s Buendia-Bicutan elevated section and the Magallanes-Alabang at-grade section. The partnership aims to provide free EMS, along with an adequate number of vehicles and properly trained staff who will attend to motorists who were involved in accidents or who suffered other medical situations while traveling along the Skyway's elevated portion from Buendia in Makati City to Bicutan in Parañaque City, and the at-grade section from Magallanes in Makati City to Alabang in Muntinlupa City.[11]
