Raymond Tyaba was born in Mukono, Uganda, and raised in a supportive family environment. He exhibited a strong passion for sports from an early age, which would later evolve into a remarkable rugby career.

▎Rugby Career

Raymond's rugby journey began in high school in 2016, when he discovered his love for the sport. His dedication and talent quickly became evident, culminating in his pivotal role on the Namilyango College rugby team in 2020. Under his contribution, the team achieved significant success, clinching the prestigious Inter-Schools Championship in Rugby Sevens.

Raymond's father relocated the family to the United Kingdom in pursuit of academic excellence and to further develop his rugby skills. This transition marked a new chapter in his life, and he joined the University of East London (UEL) rugby team in 2022. Competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league, Raymond showcased his exceptional abilities, helping his team secure a silver medal in the main league and contributing to their dominance in subsequent seasons.

In 2023, Raymond's impressive performance caught the attention of East London Rugby Club, leading to his selection for their second team, the Wyverns. As a full-back, he significantly impacted the field, scoring numerous tries and demonstrating his agility and strategic acumen. Despite facing a mid-season injury, Raymond's resilience shone through as he swiftly recovered, fueling his ambition to elevate his rugby career to new heights.
