The Waltz No. 16 in A-flat major, B. 21, WN 28, KK IVa/13, P. 1/13, is a waltz composed by Frédéric Chopin for solo piano. It was completed sometime in 1827–30, however it was not published until 1902 from a manuscript in possession of the Józef Elsner family.[1][2] The piece is in 3
8 time, unlike his other waltzes which are in 3
4 time.[3]
The composition is fast-paced and energetic. A performance of it lasts about a minute or longer.[4]
