Revised paragraph from article
[edit]Original
[edit]Registered nurses are employed in a wide variety of professional settings, often specializing in their field of practice. They may be responsible for supervising care delivered by other healthcare workers including enrolled nurses, licensed practical nurses, unlicensed assistive personnel, nursing students, and less-experienced RNs.
Revised
[edit]Registered nurses are employed in a wide variety of professional settings, often specializing in their field of practice. Nursing homes and hospitals are two main working environments of a registered nurse. Choosing to work at either a nursing home or a hospital depends on your personal preference. While working at a nursing home you will work with the same patients for long periods of time, but working at a hospital you have new patients every week.
Original Contribution
[edit]Registered Nurses have many responsibilities to do on a daily basis, and the patients and other nurses count on them to get those tasks done. Registered nurses must stay up to date with technology because they have to enter important records of patients and different information like that. RNs make most of the important decisions especially in a nursing home setting. Some more job duties are making sure the patient is comfortable in there environment, taking note of the patients symptoms to try and get the right diagnosis so the proper medication can be given in order for recovery, making sure the nursing facility has all the proper equipment and stock, changing patient’s medication as indicated by their conditions and responses and maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.[4] These are only a few of the job duties that registered nurses come across everyday.
