'Rabindra Jung Lamichhane (birthdate – death) popularly known as Ravi is a London-based Nepali entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder and CEO of R Famous Ltd, T/A Ravi Famous, and Gini London Ltd. Ravi has come a long way in establishing himself as a successful entrepreneur in the women’s fashion industry in London with a strong determination toward improving work ethics and promoting fashion and design.
His company supplies to the world’s renowned leading women’s fashion brands and each product is thoughtfully designed and promotes conscious clothing culture and eco-friendly production methods. Ravi is passionate about upholding the highest standards for clothing production, preventing harm to the planet, and practicing sustainable and fair-trade ethics. Ravi has, directly and indirectly, created sustainable employability opportunities for thousands of people worldwide through his fashion manufacturing & retail business.
Along with his successful entrepreneurship in the women’s fashion industry, Ravi devotes considerable time to charitable activities to give back to less privileged communities. An inspiration to many, he has also known for his strong social networking and leadership skills as well as his spiritual consciousness and connection to SAVE SOIL Movement.

[edit]Ravi was born and raised in Parbat district in western Nepal. Ravi received his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Nepal and has a Master’s degree in Business and Administration Management from the Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.[1]

An avid promoter of UK-Nepal relations, Ravi plays a significant role in promoting UK-Nepal bilateral relations. He shares close relations with top British political leaders and promotes Nepal’s business interests and relations. In close coordination with Nepal Embassy in London, Ravi is taking distinctive initiatives to orchestrate the visit of the British Prime Minister to Nepal for the first in the 200 years of UK-Nepal relations.
Ravi has helped to bridge the gaps between Nepali communities and mainstream society through his political and business connections. During the Covid-19 outbreak, he drew the attention of the British Health Secretary toward the vaccine inequality and lack of medical supplies in Nepal at an event at the British Parliament.

[edit]With a mission of supporting the quality education of socially and economically marginalized children in Nepal, Ravi founded the Ravi-Chandra Trust in Nepal as a tribute to his philanthropist late father Chandra Jung Lamichhane. The Trust currently provides scholarships to 55 socially and economically disadvantaged children. He also founded the Lamichhane Foundation to support the most vulnerable groups in society both in the UK and Nepal. Ravi is a member of several Nepali communities and religious organisations based in the UK.

Ravi contributed significant aid to the construction of the Pashupati Temple.

Ravi built the Chandreshwar Mahadev Temple in Kathmandu in loving memory of his Shiva devotee father late Chandra Jung Lamichhane.

* Shiva Cultural and Community Centre, UK: Patron Ravi donated a total sum of 15 thousand pounds to build a Shiva temple in Aldershot, UK. He also has piloted a project to build a Hindu Temple in north-west London at a cost of around 1 million pounds. This project aims to integrate communities and bring the Nepali language, culture, art and food all in one place. Moreover, he aims to preserve the cultural heritage for future generations as well.

* 2022 - Chairman the of National Assembly of Nepal and Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK. Ravi has played a significant role in organising a high-level meeting between the Chairman of the National Assembly of Nepal, Honourable Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and the Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK, Rt. Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
* 2022 - Sadhguru’s visit to London Ravi hosted an interaction event and dinner with the world-renowned mystic and yoga guru Shri Sadhguru Ji in March 2022. He reminiscences how rewarding it was for him to coordinate and host a rare historic event in honour of Shri Sadhguru Ji at the Nepal Embassy and in the houses of Parliament. The event was a great success, as not only did this event help to bring people from different walks of life under the same roof but it also promoted inclusion and cultural diversity. While Shri Sadhguru ji was in London, he launched his ‘Journey to Save Soil’ from London’s iconic Parliament Square.
* 2021 - Welcome Gala Dinner in honour of the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Nepal. Ravi coordinated a gala dinner in honour of the Rt Hon PM Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Naval and Military Club in London during PM Deuba’s UK visit to Glasgow COP 26. And, this event was hosted by Hon Virendra Sharma MP, the Chair of the Nepal All-Party Parliamentary Group. Guests were invited dignitaries such as MPs, politicians, diplomats, Civil Society and British-Nepali business leaders. The event highlighted the 200 years long cordial relationship shared by the UK and Nepal.
* 2019 - The Rt Hon KP Sharma Oli, former PM of Nepal’s visit to the UK. During the Prime Minister of Nepal, Rt. Hon KP Sharma Oli’s official visit to the UK. Ravi played a vital role to initiate a high-level meeting between PM Oli and then Rt Hon PM Theresa May. The meeting was vital in expanding bilateral relations between the UK-Nepal.
* Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Activities The peak of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Nepal witnessed shortages of oxygen supply. Ravi initiated a humanitarian appeal with Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in the UK, thereby leading to the facilitation of the purchase and distribution of 33 portable oxygen concentrators to Nepal. The medical supplies were received and distributed by United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA) Goodwill Ambassador for Nepal and Bollywood legendary actress, Manisha Koirala. In addition to this, Ravi directly contributed Rs. 1.57 million to the Nepal Government’s Covid-19 Relief Fund.
* 2015 –Nepal Earthquake Relief Ravi responded to the 2015 earthquake (where?) by donating relief materials such as blankets, tents and other essential resources worth millions of Nepali Rupees. He further donated Rs. 5.1 million directly to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in the presence of the then PM Sushil Koirala.

[edit]* 2020 - Suprabal Jana Sewa Shree Award Ravi has been bestowed with numerous awards and honours in recognition of his outstanding philanthropic contributions to the communities and the nation. In April 2020, He was honoured with the highest ‘Suprabal Jana Sewa Shree Award’, one of Nepal’s most distinguished civilian awards that was awarded by the Rt. Hon. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
