I decided to compare the English article on Flamenco guitar to the Spanish article. I chose the Spanish article because the musical style originated in Andalusia, Spain.

My expectations for this comparison were much different from what I found. When I first searched for the article on Flamenco guitar, the English article popped just fine, a picture of a classical Flamenco style guitar pictured to the right. But what was weird is that the Spanish side on Manypedia immediately jumped to the Flamenco page, an entire article about the music, dance, and culture associated with Flamenco guitar. In the Spanish article, there was a section about Flamenco guitar playing specifically, but I thought it was interesting that the Spanish Wikipedia doesn't give Flamenco guitar its own page. Perhaps this is because from a cultural perspective, this specific style of guitar playing is so tied in with the music and Spanish culture that there is no need for Flamenco guitar to have its own page. --Eng395jy (talk) 17:08, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
