He bought McDonald's Russia in June 2022 and sold it under the new brand,[2] After the deal, he paid employees and stuff.[2] He bought 850 McDonalds after the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and caused McDonalds to leave Russia.[3] He bought McDonalds for an undisclosed sum.[4]
