Life History
[edit]He was born on Saturday 29th of July 1893 in Faridabad- a suburb of Delhi, [India]. His mother Ummat-ul-Ayesha was pious lady belongs to Syed family (descendants of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) and his father Hafiz Abdul Rahim and grandfather Maulana Abdul Aziz were well known Islamic scholars and Sufi of their time, and his grandfather had also served in Lukhnow as senior sub-judge. His great grandfather was a very devout Muslim scholar of his time and served most of his life in Abbotabad and on retirement from service at Karnal Punjab as AEC, had permanently settled in Faridabad. His forefathers descended from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (R.A) who was the host of [3]
Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), when the Prophet migrated from Mecca to Madina Munawwara.
Childhood
[edit]Khawaja Abdul Hakeem Ensari spent most of his childhood with his grandfather who had great influence on him. Maulana Abdul Aziz had a big circle of devotees and all types of islamic Scholars and Sufis used to visit him and often spent days at his place. So, from his early life, khawaja Abdul Hakeem Ensari [4] had great interest and leaning towards islamic spirituality and his God given abilities had been polished by his grandfather. From the very beginning he had great desire and passion for discovering the ultimate truth, the quest for Allah had been the only purpose for his existence. In 1903, he was barely 10 years old when his grandfather died and this quest brought him in contact with number of Pirr and sufis but remained restless and the thirst for a real guide increased with time.
Spiritual Distinction
[edit]One day in 1911, he happened to meet Maulana Kareem-ud-din Ahmed through his close relative, Sheikh Abdul Rehman Dehlvi. He has beautifully narrated this eventful meeting with Maulana Kareem-ud-din Ahmed in Chiragh-e-Rah-a collection of annual addresses to his followers. Under the spiritual guidance of Maulana Kareem-ud-din Ahmed and due to his untiring efforts and God given abilities, Khawaja Abdul Hakeem Ensari Cite error: A <ref>

Professor Ibrahim was shortly transferred back to Karachi, but Ensari Sahib kept his residence in Bannu on the insistence of Khan sahib and his close friend Masih uz zafar. During his Bannu days, he penned his famous treatise ‘Tamir-e-Millat’ on the subject of Tasawwuf.
Foundation stone of Tawhidia Order of Naqshbandiya
[edit]His affection for Abdul Sattar Khan sahib increased with every passing day and finally on a Friday afternoon on 5th August 1955 Khan sahib took oath of allegiance (Bayt) at the hands of Ensari sahib. This was the moment when foundation stone of Tawhidia order was laid down. Ensari sahib said at this auspicious occasion, “whosoever will ask about our silsila, we would clearly say ’Silsila Alia Tawhidia’”. At the same moment he asked Haji Ali Muhammad “would you give your son- Abdul sattar to me?” Before Haji sahib would answer, Khan Sahib’s mother and sisters started crying because khan sahib was the most beloved son of their family. Haji sahib said”I can sacrifice not one but a thousand sons in the way of Allah”. At this, Ensari Sahib said”From today onwards we will live and die together.” We will revive together here and in the life hereafter. From now onward Khan Sahib is my son and Noor (Khan Sahib’s wife) is my daughter. He announced this in his family and Khan Sahib, his wife and Umme Qulsum, his only daughter became part of Ensari Saahib’s family.
Obedience of Qibla Abdul Sattar Khan sahib (ra)
[edit]Qibla Abdul Sattar khan sahib had been wholeheartedly devoted to Qibla Ensari Sahib ever since his first meeting but after that he became obedience personified in the service of his Murshid. He was an ocean of love and affection from whome everyone benifited. He was a whole hearted soul and quiet man. His life was a life of total submission and gratification, who would overlook and forgave even his enemies. His spirituality, love and devotion to his Murshid was comparable to that of between Amir Khusroo and Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya. Qibla Ensari sahib would say, “If you want to learn submission, learn it from Abdul Sattar khan”. He further said” I myself have learnt submission from Khan Sahib”. Ensari Sahib instructed his adherents to refrain from showing anger and hate and about khan sahib he would say ”He does not anger on anything”, and in reality no one in his followers can claim to have even seen Khan sahib angry.
Ensari sahib was bestowed with three daughters and a son. Daughters were married and his only son died at the early age of 21. About his Khilafat and succession, he had selected Khan Sahib from the very first meeting. Therefore in Jan 1961, he had prepared a will and had declared Khan sahib his only successor and order his followers and adherents abide by it without any objection. Later on in April 1964 during the annual convention held at Prince Hotel Lahore, he confirmed /reaffirmed the decision his successor and Khilafat in these words,” The person I am going to announce for Khilafat is no lesser than me in spirituality and piousness. If you have any regards for my teachings then everyone of you present here will have to give your oath of allegiance to him in today’s gathering”.
Declaration of Khawaja Abdul Hakim Ensari (ra)
[edit]Before his demise, Khawaja Abdul Hakim Ensari had delegated all the responsibilities and affairs of the Silsila to Khan Abdul Sattar Khan Sahib through his registered will. The shining star of spirituality, left for his eternal abode to meet his crater on the evening of 23rd Jan 1977 after delegated the responsibility for reforming and transforming the lives of his fellow human beings.
