Pitreshwar Temple

Pitreshwar temple is known for the tallest statue of seated Hanumanji in the country one of the tallest statues in Madhya Pradesh. The statue is 71 feet tall and weighs approximately 108 tons. The umbrella over the head of Lord Hanuman is 18 feet long, and the mantra of Ram is written 108 times on it. Hanuman Ji's mace is 45 feet long. "Ramayana," made of Panch Dhatu, is kept before the idol. Ramayana is 9 x 18 feet long. The platform is 14 feet high, and the idol is placed in it. According to Vastu Shastra, the statue faces southwest.[1][2]

Temple Location

This temple is located in a total area of 5 acres and is named "Pitra Parvat" because people started planting trees here in memory of their loved ones 12 years ago. People also plant saplings here on the occasion of Shraddhapaksha.

The history of Pitreshwar Hanuman Dham is quite interesting. The temple was built in 2002 by the mayor of Indore, Kailash Vijayvargiya. This temple is located in Pitru Parvat near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. The idol of Lord Hanuman was created by artists from Gwalior and was brought 264 parts from Indore, Gwalior. It took two years to join these 264 parts. This temple is located in a total area of 5 acres and is named "Pitra Parvat" because people started planting trees here in memory of their loved ones 12 years ago. People also plant saplings here on the occasion of Shraddha Paksha. A laser light show is also available in the evening. Ramayana and Hanuman Chalisa will be told in a 20-minute laser show.

How to Reach Pitreshwar Temple

The temple is situated on Hatod Road and is well connected by road. The nearest airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport in Indore, about 30 km from the temple. The nearest railway station is Indore Junction, approximately 25 km from the temple. One can either hire a taxi or take a bus from the airport or railway station.
