Andi C. Buchanan is a New Zealand author. They have won two Sir Julius Vogel Awards: first for their short story Girls Who Do Not Drown (2018), followed by their novella From a Shadow Grave (2019).
Biography
[edit]Buchanan was born in the 1980s, and lived in Yorkshire, England, for a period during their childhood.[1]
Buchanan won the 2019 Sir Julius Vogel Award for their short story Girls Who Do Not Drown (2018),[2] followed in 2020 with an award for their novella From a Shadow Grave (2019).[3]
They released their debut full-length novel Sanctuary in 2022.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Buchanan lives in Lower Hutt in the Wellington Region.[5][6] Buchanan is autistic,[7] non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.[8][9]
