Hello, and welcome to my user page. Though I'm supposedly a tortoise, the majority of my edits are of the gnome and eagle varieties. I occasionally make larger contributions, mostly to plant-related articles. I've also started participating in articles for deletion discussions as of late.

Who I am
[edit]A Southern California native and member of Gen Z, I’m interested in botany and pretty much everything else. I started editing Wikipedia during the pandemic as an IP editor. After around 60 edits, Elli left a pleasant note on my talk page, and I decided to make an account. If I were to join today, I would choose a different username, but this is what I chose, and I’m sticking with it. After years of low edit volume, I began contributing at my current rate in June 2024.

1. Destub
- Destub an article on a Ptychostomum species. See WP:PLANTSSTS and Ptychostomum pseudotriquetrum. Use floranorthamerica for descriptions. Mind WP:CLOP.
- Destub an article on an Adelia species. See WP:PLANTSSTS and Adelia barbinervis.
2. Gnome
- Fix five lint errors. Link to missing end tags for italics category. Use the following edit summary: fix missing end tag [[Special:LintErrors|lint error]]
- Add five short descriptions. Find pages lacking short descriptions.
3. Copy edit
- Fulfill a GOCE request.
- Copy edit an article. See category.
- Copy edit a recently destubbed article. See WP:DESTUB50K.
4. Notability
- Participate in a poorly-attended AfD. See User:Cyberbot I/Current AfD's, sort by time until close, then by votes.
- Find an unreferenced article and improve it (if notable or borderline notable), propose deletion (if obviously non-notable), blank and redirect (if it is obviously non-notable but can be redirected), or send it to AfD (if probably non-notable). If copyright violations are suspected, use Template:Copypaste and walk away, but remember WP:MIRROR. See category.
5. Typo
- Clear a section at Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss/D. Use Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss#Suggested edit summaries
- Fix typos in a vital article using User:Phlsph7/AI spelling and grammar suggestions for vital articles.
- Fix a common misspelling from Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/A.
- Fix a common misspelling from Commonly misspelled English words.
