The Shantan Republic, commonly known simply as Shanta, is a self-declared micronation founded in 2024 and located within the city limits of Dripping Springs, Texas, USA. The republic consists of three non-contiguous territories, each with a unique purpose within the larger vision of the Shantan Republic. Among these territories, Big Horn Circle holds special significance as a central landmark.
The concept of the Shantan Republic originated as a social project among a group of friends in late 2023, first envisioned as the Monarchy of Bing Xilingia. This monarchic structure, however, was never formally implemented. In early 2024, the original founders revisited their plans and decided to re-establish the entity under a republican framework, renaming it the Shantan Republic. - Big Horn Circle: Recognized as one of the most notable territories of the Shantan
