The Tabun 1 is the skull of a Homo neanderthalensis. It was discovered by Yusura, a local woman on the team excavating Mount Carmel, Israel, lead by Dorothy Garrod[1]. It is from a female neanderthal, and is thought to be 130,000 years old[2].
