Yo! app is a local connectivity app (currently available on Android) to explore your surrounding by connecting with nearby people/business. Yo! app is available on Google Play and it is free of cost. Yo! app is both communication as well as business mobile app.
What does Yo! provide for Communication ?
1. Medium to interact (chat / microblog) with people NEARBY by sharing location.
2. Local classifieds to buy or sell products locally.
3. Fresh message about ads/offers/campaigns straight from local merchants.
4. Local news or views or events buzzing around i.e. news/views/events.
5. Get tuned with and/or share what's up around user through microblog or chat.
What does Yo! provide for Business?
At present, Local SMBs / Retailers / Businesses don't have any medium to acquire , connect with as well as retain their customers. Moreover, Local Retailer / Businesses may need to advertise its products or services in effective manner. This platform will provide that platform where SMBs can
1. Define their market radius to push their offers/ campaigns/ads.
2. Reduce advertising time and cost.
Most of the local businesses in Food ( local food outlet ) , FMCG (Local groceries to Supermall) and Entertainment industry (Theatres) adopt this platform to get additional customers also for their deals/offers.
Design/Development
[edit]Yo! app is designed/developed by Prasanna Jha and Manish Jha. They started to work on this concept since January, 2013. This mobile application got more than 25 major releases till date.
History
[edit]Yo! app has released in March, 2013 on Google Play.

[edit]Yo! app was innovation partner of Spring Fest, 2014 at IIT Kharagpur [1]. Moreover Yo! app got selected for Pitney Bowes's accelerator program. [2][3]. Yo! app got attention on YourStory when YourStory reccomended Yo! app to watch out among 15 Startups in Pune. [4]
Further Yo! app got selected as a tech30 company which is well prepared list of top 30 technology startups in India by YourStory. [5]
10000startup selected Yo! app for its prestigious mentoring program.
