What is Prabha?

'Dome-shaped bamboo structures (prabhas) of various sizes ranging from six to 16 feet in height - mounted on bullock carts with a flag pole and decorated with flowers and colored papers are displayed at the theertha (village festival) which reflects the culture.

The people of each village participated in the tirtha by placing the portraits of the village deities on bullock carts carrying their 'prabhas'. Villagers consider it prestigious and strive to make the 'prabhas' more attractive by illuminating them using electric lamps.
