Hi

[edit]

You are hilarious! I love your page, and I too play Runescape. My name is Deathordoom0, and I am level 84. Add me to your friends list. And will you please tell me how to add that "This member plays Runescape" thing? I really enjoy your page, and nice gag with the new messages thing (I fell for it!) Orphaned fair use image (Image:RsNo.JPG)

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:RsNo.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Andeh 09:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Adminship

[edit]

(Crossposted reply) Heh, I appreciate it, mate! I might be a bit too nooby for adminship - i've only just passed 2000 edits although i've nearly been here a year. I'll try an Editor Review application, that might make it a bit clearer. Lots of voters want 1 Featured Article credited to prospective admins though, nowadays. :-/ CaptainVindaloo t c e 00:58, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: Image- Can we try to get it in somewhere? (Or something similar)

[edit]

The image is a screen shot, so it is under fair-use condition. Therefore, I think it would be better to update it and place on an article(any)before admins(or bots)delete it.GSPbeetle complains Vandalisms 14:56, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I know RS4L from school. As for your question, I do not work on the RS portal, as I think I do not know enough about it to do that. I am level 29, and I basically stick around the same places to train. Check out my page again! Note: I always say that even if I hadn't updated it!

Your sig

[edit]

I would reccommend removing the external link. Per WP:SIG#External links, links to outside website in sigs are likely to get you in trouble. -Amarkov blahedits 23:47, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Just my opinion, but I find your sig very confusing. What is ROCKS? What is "lvl 81?" (Actually, I eventually figured this one out.) Why the link to "Runescape?" Not to mention that the red suggests that there is no user page, adding to the confusion. Please keep in mind that the purpose of Wikipedia is to build an encyclopedia, not to play/promote/discuss Runescape. Matchups 03:20, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:IE 7 Logo Small.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:IE 7 Logo Small.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. When reverting vandalism, please examine the edit history carefully. here you reverted only the last of a series of blankings by the same user. This fooled subsequent editors into thinking your version was kosher, "hiding" the earlier vandalism. Just FYI. —johndburger 03:32, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application

[edit]

Dear Poorleno,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Prodego talk 22:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Popups issue

[edit]

I see you have run into the recent popups issue where it leaves the $ summary. Apparently it's a bug with some recent changes to popups interacting with IE6.0. If you want to fix it, you can change back to the last version of popups - see User talk:Lupin#Getting "revision $1 dated $2 by $3".--Kubigula (talk) 18:28, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, there was no need to remove the redlinks on this article. Redlinks represent an important part of Wikipedia, since they indicate that either articles to these links don't exist yet or that the links are broken (see also Wikipedia:Red link). Greetings ~~ Phoe talk 13:49, 9 March 2007 (UTC) ~~

Your template up for CSD

[edit]

Just want to let you know that the trick template you created is up for speedy. The reason is that someone thinks you use it to "pose as an admin". You might want to check it out. Pyrospirit Flames Fire 01:06, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok lets see if I can run through these starting at one:

  1. Actually, you followed every single one of my rules perfectly. I'd give you a Barnstar for getting it right if there was one for that.
  2. Yeah I got the joke part, I just didn't know how you used the template.
  3. 1) I thought that after you linked your userpage to trick template that the brackets would make it appear, so seeing speedy delete on your userpage would give enough clue. 2) You have friends on Wikipedia? Geez I have like no users I can call friends on here.
  4. I came to tricktemplate because it was in Category:User templates which, being a member of WP:StS, I have been sorting.
  5. And for number 10 I will list my responses to every ↓ in a sentence or two:
Yes, my decision was very rash. I felt guilty about it being deleted,

I also did not think that it would be deleted. I did not mean posing as an admin I just couldn't think of anything else at the moment. I do not know maybe I was in a bad mood, but if I could stop myself from putting that CSD on I would have (keep in mind I did not really delete it) but w/e. -PatPeter 03:06, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Yay! I have a friend on Wikipedia! If you wish I could help you redo your template. -PatPeter 13:46, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah even I like that template. -PatPeter 13:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism on user page

[edit]

Hi Poorleno, I'm Just James. You might remember me as the guy who has a section at the end of your "suckers page". Recently, an unregistered user with the IP address 220.233.14.218 blanked your "suckers page". He also made a number of edits to my user page without my permission. 2 of those edits were used to correct errors in grammar, but the majority of his edits were used to vandalise my user page. I was wondering whether or not you could help me monitor the changes to my user page, in case this idiot strikes again. I have already given him a first and last warning. If he vandalises any page again, could you report him on the Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism page? Thank you for your help in this matter.--Just James 00:28, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject MMO Newsletter - April 2007

[edit]
WikiProject MMO Quarterly
April 2007 Issue I
About Us
WikiProject MMO Quarterly is a quarterly newsletter posted on the first of January, April, July, and October. The newsletter is written by any and all interested members of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games for members of the project and interested Wikipedians outside of the project.
Questions, comments, and concerns
For general questions, comments, and concerns, leave a message on our talk page here. For questions, comments, and concerns about our newsletter, leave a message on the talk page for the newsletter section of our Outreach Department here.
New good articles and featured articles
Good articles and featured articles are a great way to see what major acomplishments we have made over the last quarter.

Good articles

Featured articles
None this quarter!

Role call
We ask that within a month, all members sign our role call to show that they are still active participants in the project. More information is available on the role call page.
Major news
WikiProject RuneScape, our former child project, was moved to become a task force of this project in January as it had a small scope but the task force is still going strong to this very day.

This past quarter marks the beginning of our new collaboration system MMOGCM. Past collaborations thus far have been World of Warcraft and MMORPG, both of which made it to GA status while it was the MMOGCM.

As well, we now have an Outreach Department which works on this newsletter as well as spreads the word of our project.

WikiProject MMO is also now a participant in the Work via WikiProjects division of Wikipedia 1.0 and as such, we will be helping decide which are the best (based on quality and importance) articles within our scope. Project members can discuss which articles are to be included here.

News from the RuneScape Task Force
We are currently trying to improve this task force so that we can edit all RuneScape-related articles in an organized manner. To do that we started a massive overhaul which we invite all task force members to participate in.

We have also gotten our main article, RuneScape to good article status this quarter. All this, and the task force was only created in January.

Signed...
Greeves, Ed

On behalf of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games.

My use of profanity

[edit]

I direct you to Wikipedia:Profanity, WP:NOT#Wikipedia_is_not_censored, Wikipedia:Content disclaimer and to Conservapedia if you are still worried.

I mean no offence, but seriously, considering children swear all the time, it isn't exactly something to be overly worried about. I would get more upset about the violence on television then the use of words that are arbitrarily considered offensive. If children are upset by mere words, then perhaps you should explain to them why words that cause no direct harm (hate speech and slander are different) are not a problem, but words that incite violence are (and keep the little tykes away from Fox News as well...).

Also, it wasn't the redirect that was the problem, but rather the fact that I didn't notice the page was a misspelling until after I had attempted to clean it up... When I realised, I simply redirect and then complained about my stupidity.

Hope that clears everything up. (And if you respond here, that would keep everything together.)~AFA ʢűčķ¿Ю 12:24, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
