P2ware Planner Suite (also known as P2ware Planner 2008)[1] is a project management software released in Q4 2008, created by P2ware Ltd. and designed for Microsoft Windows. It was created to assist project managers in managing projects and programmes. P2ware Planner Suite provides support for selected project management areas, e.g. scheduling, budget management, resource management, risk and issue management, progress tracking, reports authoring, product based planning, critical path and critical chain analysis and earned value management.[2][3]
P2ware Planner Suite is available in several versions: Standard, Professional, Developer, Server and Viewer. Planner Viewer is available for free and it is designed for viewing plans created by other P2ware Planner versions but not editing them.
There is also available a free version of P2ware Planner, Personal Learning Edition (PLE), that can be dowloaded from software manufacturer's website. [4] It was designed for educational purposes. However number of plan objects that can be created by this version is limited.
History
[edit]P2ware Planner Suite is a second project management software product by P2ware. In 2005 the company released Product Based Planner which included support for product based planning technique included in PRINCE2 methodology.[5]
