Philosophy Compass (journal) Philosophy Compass is an online peer-reviewed philosophy journal established by Blackwell Publishers (now Wiley-Blackwell) in 2006[1]. One of eight Compass journals[2], Philosophy Compass publishes peer-reviewed articles which summarise the latest developments in a particular area of the field. The journal, like all the Compass journals, is aimed at an international readership including academic researchers, postgraduates students and advanced undergraduates.
Aims of the Journal
[edit]The aim of Philosophy Compass is to be a reference tool for researchers and students, working in the field of philosophy[3]. According to the journal’s publicly available 'Notes for Authors' document[4], articles are intended to be about 5,000 words long, and are available to readers in PDF and XML format, organized into annual volumes and monthly issues[5].

Editorial Structure
[edit]Each journal section is edited by one or more section editors[6], and also has a large, international editorial board who advise those section editors[7]. The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Brian Weatherson of Rutgers University [8]. Weatherson runs a philosophy-themed blog, "Thoughts, Arguments, and Rants".
