User:Placeholderer
Hello! This user page is a work in progress, especially since I don't really know any user page templates yet, other than:
This is a Wikipedia user page. This is not an encyclopedia article or the talk page for an encyclopedia article. If you find this page on any site other than Wikipedia, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated and that the user whom this page is about may have no personal affiliation with any site other than Wikipedia. I hope to stick to a philosophy that my edits are placeholders for better edits from others in the future. I'm not interested in getting into arguments, and aspire to be as neutral and consensus-building as I can be (though I acknowledge WP:UNANIMITY). I was an avid reader of Wikipedia long before I made this account, which I mainly did so that I could correct typos/mistakes I found.
Some things about me:
I live in the United States. In general I'm more interested in world news than U.S. news. I acknowledge that I tend to have a pro-Western view on the world, though I aim to learn and edit impartially.
I'm particularly interested in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the Troubles. I'm also a big fan of flags, trains, cool maps (I have standards), and whatever catches my fancy.
Recently I've been working on the Dutch East Indies article— I hope to get it closer to being a Good Article.
As my battery is currently low, I'm in favor of speedily adding a Dark Mode. My opinion on how high a priority this is will change as I charge my computer.
Looking forward to learning more about Wikipedia!
