The grinning face emoji (😀) is a smiley emoji depicting a face grinning. It is used in order to express emotion. The grinning face emoji appears in the "Smileys & People" section.
History
[edit]The grinning face emoji was added in unicode 6.0 in 2010. The grinning face emoji would later be added onto Emoji 1.0 in 2015. The grinning face emoji normally resembles a facial expression when somebody has sent something traumatic, or they're just trying to be quirky. The grinning face emoji isn't commonly used.
