The Tsumeb Copper Festival is an event that takes place in a town called Tsumeb in Oshikoto Region,Namibia.It was fisrt held in October 2003 and is now an annual event.The four-day festival each year attracts a large number of people from different areas.The discovery of copper in Namibia led to the existance of Tsumeb.The festival celebrates the town's successful mining history as Tsumeb is the home of the Ongopolo mine.One of the main aims of the event is to create awareness of the use of copper.The event also creates an economic platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.The Tsumeb Cultural Festival is a leading event that not only showcases the town but also its people and industrial potential as well.
