SEDL Software Engineering Design Language
SEDL was developed at the IBM T.J. Watson Laboratories. It is an executable specification and design language based on Ada. It was used to generate initial code on 3745 and 3546 IBM communication controllers for Token Ring and X25 layers. SEDL compiler generated C code that was then compiled to run on x86 boards.
Since it was an internal IBM internal development it has not been widespread outside IBM and references can only been found in some books writers bio like this of Paul W. Abrahams.
