G2 draft

[edit]

When cities became overcrowded, the people on Earth began to build up towards the sky, creating huge mountain-like structures. These were called Hive Cities. Populations in these places could reach millions, nearly impossible to control. It is in one of these cities that you now live. Join a gang, gather your arsenal of deadly weapons, gain experience in combat and become unbeatable.

Gangsterz2 is a MMORPG with a gangster/cyberpunk theme. Players can join one of four gangs, create clans to socialize with like-minded people, and compete to become the best.

Attack System

[edit]

PvP is an important feature in gameplay. G2 features a simple RPG style attack system. The defending player has no direct control over the battle, as he will automatically defend to the best of his ability. The attacker is faced with only two in-battle options- attack and run. Although it is possible to use items during battle by opening multiple game windows, the victor will recieve partial experience. Zorg, creator of G2, has stated that in the future he may decide to incorporate a "use item" option during battle, which might also include auto-use options for the defender.

Hunting

[edit]

Hunting is similar to PvP, in that the attack setup is the same except that the player's opponent is an NPC. You can also find special items, or drops, that cannot be bought in the shops. In order to encourage use of PvP, attacking a hunting character gives only 80% of the experience you would get from a PvP equal.

Gangs

[edit]

Upon signup, players are assigned to one of four gangs, but they are free to leave at any time to become rogues. They may also join another gang, or rejoin an old gang, for a fee of 500c. Each of the gangs has its own gang color, clothing, symbol, philosophy/attitude, and form of government. Each gang has a council of 5 players, 1 of which is the leader of the gang. There are also special ranks for people who help newbies, run the gang's finances, advise on war tactics, etc. Each gang's leader can be changed at any time, if the votes of the council members change.

(The following gangs are listed in no particular order)

Outcasts

People who do not fit anywhere else, with a huge array of abilities they joined together to form their own gang. Although unpredictable in nature, their value of freedom above all else unites them. Their main focus is on advancing technology and merging their human bodies with the mechanical.

Outcasts is a chaotic democracy. Members can choose to contest a council member, which costs 500c. After 2 days, the member with the most votes takes the council spot. Outcasts are often recognizable by their spiky green hair, ripped clothing and bionic limbs.

Dark Flame

The cult of the Dark Flame follow a deity called Cain, under the tyrannous control of the Black Hand. They seek to cleanse the Hive of weakness and exist in every shadow in a world where rituals and evil are common place. From sacrificing their own members to eating the hearts of their enemies.

Dark Flame is a theocratic dictatorship. Its council can only be changed if Cain chooses, and the council of Dark Flame must never be questioned by his followers. DF gang clothing consists of shoulder-length hair, trenchcoats, and armor, all of which are red and black.

The Chapter

Seekers of knowledge and power, they live their lives in secret chambers through out the hive. Studying the dark secrets and nature of the universe. They claim to fight evil but normally only do so for selfish reasons such as power or wealth. Their leadership is democratic but usually corrupt.

The Chapter is a loose democracy. Members can choose to contest a council member, which costs 500c. After 5 days, the member with the most votes takes the council spot. Members of the Chapter wear blue trenchcoat and sport long blue hair.

Blade of Dawn

Living their lives by a code of honor, they treat even their enemies with respect. These modern day warriors follow a code set down by ancient Samurais and will die to defend it. They do not side with good or evil, instead they pledge loyalty to their leader and follow a path of neutrality.

Blade of Dawn is a strict democracy. Voting on the council happens monthly, and members can nominate themselves for the election. The nominee with the most votes gets the spot. BoDers wear yellow and black samurai-style armor and sandals. For males, there is a matching headdress, for females a bun with chopsticks.

Clans

[edit]

Clans are special clubs created by players- for 5000c, anyone can create one. Players can be in to 4 different clans. Each clan has its own bank, forum, and banner. This allows clans to run games, help each other buy equipment, and talk to each other.
