4DS (Four Dimensional Storage) is company based in Fremont California that is focuses on the development of ReRAM technology. The company claims significant advances in Non-Volatile Solid State Memory and has partnered with various research groups to continue the companies growth.

History

4DS was founded in 2007 by Australian based company 4D-S Pty, Ltd. 4DS has had success with ReRAM by using patented technology created by their development team.^[1]

Partnerships

2011 - Partnered with SEMATECH to build a full transistor-memory ^[2]
2011 - Partnered with Data Storage Institute(DSI) to develop 16Kbit ReRAM prototype with memory controller ^[3]

Technology

The ReRAM under development from 4DS is expected to use 2,000 times less energy than flash and is up to 1,000 times faster.

MOHJO (Metal Oxide Hetero Junction Operation) is a non-volatile memory where the storage cell can have a low resistance or a high resistance. Information is stored in the form of material resistance, which can be changed by an applied voltage.^[4]
