A Tailcut is one part of a Dynamic Campaign Optimization (DCO) which is a process used to enhance the performance of an online marketing campaign. Using real-time tracking systems during the campaign enables the marketer to follow the development and sort out better versus lower performing media (Internet sites) and production (e.g. banners).
