This guide documents the history and experience of angel investors and business angel business startup matching in Australia. It also introduces people to a series of systems that will give them a greater chance of successfully participating in the business angel process. Christine Kaine set up her first matching business in 1987 in Armadale, Melbourne, called peoplebrokers. This business matched housemates, house minders and friends. She computerised the matching business as soon as it was possible to do so. She was one of the first businesses in Australia to adopt the World Wide Web.
