The 2022 Florida Mayhem season will be the Florida Mayhem's fifth season in the Overwatch League and the team's first season under head coach Jordan "Gunba" Graham.
Preceding offseason

[edit]In the offseason, the Mayhem parted ways with head coach Kim "KuKi" Dae-kuk. On October 18, 2021, Florida signed former Los Angeles Valiant assistant coach Jordan "Gunba" Graham as their new head coach.[1] Several weeks later, the team picked up former OWL player Caleb "McGravy" McGarvey as an assistant coach.[2]
Roster changes
[edit]In early October 2021, the Mayhem parted ways with six of their players: tank players Son "OGE" Min-seok and Lee "Gargoyle" Beom-jun, support players Kim "Slime" Sung-jin and Kang "Gangnamjin" Nam-jin, and damage players Lee "BQB" Sang-beom and Baek "Checkmate" Seung-hun.[3] Weeks later, on October 22, Florida signed Saudi Arabian support player Majed "SirMajed" Alrashied, marking the second time that a Saudi Arabian player had been signed in the Overwatch League.[4] Two days later, they signed damage player Baek "Checkmate" Seung-hun, who they had released earlier that month.[5] The Mayhem then released damage player Kim "Yaki" Jun-ki on October 29.[6] Florida made three signings in early November: rookie damage player Isiah "Hydron" Rodriguez,[7] former Los Angeles Gladiators damage player Chris "MirroR" Trinh,[7] and rookie tank player Adam "Adam" Soong.[8] The team's next acquisition was in early December, with the signing of former Seoul Dynasty support player Jung "Anamo" Tae-sung.[9]
