Paul Burns is a film historian living in Canada, with a specialty in precinema. Mr. Burns is a former journalist who has spent 19 years studying the history of precinema from it's very beginnings right up until 1900. His work has been published on the internet at; www.precinemahistory.net

Subject material includes; pinhole images, optics, magic lanterns, early photographic chemistry, camera obscura, photography, stop-action series photography, motion study analysis, cinematography, the inventions, their inventors and discoverers. Mr. Burns has made entries on Wikipedia in the past and hopes to continue to make further entries from time to time.
