"Dr. Powell is one of the world's most inspired writers on Advaita philosophy... You will find great gems in his books." - Deepak Chopra[1]
Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1918, Robert Powell completed his education at London University, where he took his doctoral degree in Chemistry. Prolific in his career as well in spiritual exploration, Powell's writings cover more than the life of Nisargadatta. Examining the essence pointed at thru religion including Christianity and Zen, Robert Powell shared his deep exploration into reality. His personal quest brought him to J. Krishnamurti and Ramana Maharshi. In 2005, he wrote a favorite of mine, "The Real is Unknowable, The Knowable is Unreal.'[2]
