“Chernihiv Regional Children’s Library” municipal institution is the oldest special institution of its kind providing library services for children and adolescents. Starting with 5th May 1898 and to this day, the library has undergone a complex path from a children’s department at the Chernihiv municipal library to a regional library for children – the biggest collection of children’s literature in the region, the center for organization and promotion of children’s reading in the region, and the center for provision on methodical, consulting assistance to the children’s, rural and school libraries of the Chernihiv region.
